Robert Frank Narrative

To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Annabel Carper and I’m 9 years old. I am entering this giveaway because my older sister Jane told me to and she is in charge. We don’t have a lot of money and we could really use your 1,000 dollars. For starters, I have 5 siblings and no parents. My father left us after my little sister was born (he was never around anyway), and my mother drinks a lot. So that leaves my oldest sister and the rest of our siblings to take care of each other. We do a pretty good job I would say. I know it may sound bad, but we really do make it work. I take care of my baby sister a lot. She is three. The rest of the family is boys. They really are smart boys, but they get themselves into a lot of trouble sometimes. Jane is always worried about them setting a bad example for me but I think I’ll be just fine. She always says how responsible and mature I am for my age. That’s probably because I take care of my three-year-old sister and I’m nine. Anyway, we all have a lot of fun together. When my older siblings aren’t working, we play games and eat and watch TV. I hope that one day I can be as good of a person as Jane. She works three jobs, pays the bills, and takes care of all of us before herself. She’s only 22 years old. I feel bad for her because most people her age have more of a fun life but she got stuck with us instead. We can definitely be a handful. My brothers always get in fights at school and that worries her a lot. I worry her a lot too but I try my best not to. Maybe if we win your money then she can quit one of her jobs and get to go out more often. Here is the picture I am entering.

Sincerely,
Annabel

Cant see the image, but the story was great. The language was similar to that of a 9 year old and it was easy for me to connect to the family.

I think the purpose was to show how some families are forced to become self sufficient and how children have to be raised by themselves

I think the end purpose is to show how much families have to rely on each other in times of need. As well as how much we make people worry and for them getting the money will help. I really enjoyed the story nice writing!
